[Vic's been on and off on the planet, for research of course. Today's one of those days. He spies M'gann being attacked by zombies. He couldn't leave her alone, that would be the worst. He'd made already some makeshift bullet-like things out of scrap metal earlier, so using his powers, he shoots off one or two straight in the head.]

M'gann!

[He runs closer to her, punching a zombie hard in the head. Ow. At least the metal in his body is good for something other than making metal detectors go off.]

Victor?

[she whips around as she hears his voice, her eyes still glowing as she keeps her hands focused on telekinetically subduing a particularly rowdy zombie. she's glad to see him, of course, but the formalities are to be saved for after they get the job done.]

So much for "not having to get too violent," huh?

[He forms a metal club as fast as he can. Vic smashes in one of the zombie's heads that is a little too close for comfort.]

Yeah, these zombies mean business!

Look out-!

[she points behind him, indicating a pair of zombies heading his way. though she manages to quickly take out one of them by blasting it away with her powers, there's still one for him to deal with.]

Madres!

[He bashes the zombie's head in twice, for good measure of course, and pushes it back with a strong kick of his foot.]

I think we're safe for now.

[with a sigh of relief, she rests her hand on Sphere, who's just rolled up to the two.]

That was definitely a surprise; I was expecting at least a little breathing room once I'd gotten down here.

[Vic blinks in surprise. He hadn't seen Sphere since Superboy had talked about it the one time...]

How did you manage to get that down here?

[He signals with his head instead of his hands. Electromagnets probably don't mix very well with those things, whatever they are.]

It seemed to be getting frustrated with being cooped up in my room all day-it's kind of understandable, since it's pretty small. So I decided to bring it down with me... it doesn't seem to mind helping out either, so everything worked out!

[at that, Sphere makes a noise; M'gann seems to take it as one of contentment and pats it a few times. good sentient alien ball.]

[Vic cocks his head a bit.]

Just what is that anyway? Superboy was playing with it once a while back. I told him I didn't want to accidentally zap it since he wanted me to meet it.

[at the mention of Superboy, M'gann's expression drops a little... but she's quickly regaining her cheerful demeanor. it's an easy thing to miss.]

It's... I guess you could say it's my pet? What exactly it is, we don't really know-other than the fact that it's alive, in some way or another. It helped me and Superboy out on one of our missions, and he wanted to take it home afterward. When he left, it came looking for me, and... well, I've been looking after it ever since.

So it's not a robot of some kind?

[He eyes the sphere curiously. It's made of metal but it's sentient?]

Maybe he's some kind of AI, like me.

Maybe... [she curiously tilts her head at him as she looks between him and the sphere.] That's right-you mentioned you were a cyborg, right?

[electromexican]

[Vic nods.] Built a couple of years ago, actually. All that's in here [he taps his temple with a finger] is a hard drive and I've got wires under my skin.

Wow... I would have never guessed. -No offense, though! Cyborg, human, or whatever else-you're still my friend.

None taken! It gets annoying sometimes 'cause I set off metal detectors. One of my friends back home kept sticking paper clips to my face while I slept.
