[ You might not be as fast to this one, as opposed to the glass shattering signal from last time, this is a mere thud. Inside the library, you'll find the poisoned body of pishirogane. Poisoned how? Well, the bubbles around her lips and the innocent glass on the table seems to tell tales.

But there's only one entrance in and out of the library, but there has been an hour since the last murder.

But Naoto is a detective, isn't she? Certainly the glass would be watched after, right?

[Kanji's been trying to give Naoto space to get to work on this case but he can't help it - he's worried about her. Even though she can look after herself, with a murderer on the loose he has to protect her. That's what boyfriends do, right?

And so he heads to the library, an obvious place for her to find somewhere quiet to deliberate]

Hey, Naoto. I-

[Silence. Because he's just spotted her and he doesn't need to look too closely to know she's dead. For a long moment he just stands and stares.

Then, this is where others may get their clue that something's amiss. Because there is a clear sound of things getting thrown and broken. Because screw the crime scene, someone just killed his girlfriend. And he's expressing his grief the only way he knows how - through rage]

[The noise definitely gets him to go see what was the matter. Perhaps another murder?]

[It... doesn't take long after he enters the library for him to figure out what went on. The body, and Kanji's action. He's not too sure on the cause of death just yet, but right now the important part was to stop Kanji before he messed up the crime scene further or hurt anyone.]

[For a moment, though, he does consider joining him. After all, this is the death of a close friend. Part of him wants to start demolishing the entire house to find the culprit.]

[But no. That won't work, and that won't help.]

[And so, not giving a damn for his own safety, he approaches him and places a firm hand on his shoulder.]

Tatsumi. That is not going to help us right now. Calm down.

[Well, even if it doesn't help, Chie's going to help break things.]

I was just-- talking to her, dammit! How the hell did this happen?!

[Well, that's strange. She just saw this detective not long ago, looking at the first crime scene. How does she turn up dead, and in a scene that looks almost staged?]

[Where did all these people come from? It's doing nothing to temper Kanji's rage and that means he's less than rational]

Shut up! Don't tell me what to do! Naoto's dead, damn it! Naoto's dead and the bastard who did it is who even knows where! Maybe I failed at protecting her but I ain't gonna let that scumbag get away with this!

Well they sure as hell ain't here right now. Probably out with the others acting like they ain't got blood on their hands. So maybe instead of telling me to calm down when my g-when Naoto's DEAD, you should be looking for the one who did this. Clues or no clues, the bastard's out there.

[It's a wonder he even managed to check himself there but since Minato's the only one who knows the extent of his relationship with Naoto, he figures he at least owes it to her to not let it slip now]

And the evidence is in here, assuming there's any of it left. I doubt very much that anyone will simply announce their guilt if we have no proof.

[Kanji gives a frustrated grunt, turning and stalking away from the growing group. He can't keep still; every fibre of his being wants to find the one responsible and rip them apart until they're no longer recognisable. But of course, he doesn't know who that person is and he knows everyone else is making sense but damn it, it hurts and the only way he can express it is to lash out.]

[All the while, Minato takes the moment to investigate what was left of the scene.]

...Looks like poison. Her mouth is all bubbled up here. I know she was drinking that orange stuff. Did anyone else drink it?

[Unlike the others, Rise had ended up resorting to crying her eyes out over the sight. The shock of what had happened really sinking in, she hadn't a clue what to do, but as to what to say, she tried to speak through her tears.]

I-I didn't drink the orange stuff. What about you?

I didn't, but I know others did. Not sure if that's what did it.

[Kanji shakes his head. He's still fuming but more quietly now]

No...this was deliberate. There's plenty of people been drinking the same stuff and Naoto's the only one...they knew she'd figure it out if they didn't shut her up.

So they killed her to keep her quiet?!

[Rise sniffled a couple of times, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt. She really hated whoever did this, it wasn't fair?!]
