Are you familiar with this winter holiday that most seem obsessed with?

You mean Christmas? [Ah, she remembers talking to Loki about how they don't have that holiday in Asgard; understandable though]

I am quite familiar with it.

Yes, that is the one. I confess to being somewhat confused by it. There seem to be many different traditions surrounding it.

That's because with each generation a new tradition was added and sometimes it continues even to this day. There are several cores of it that still remain the same though. It has changed a lot since my day or at least the way people go about it.

I see. From what I have seen, purchasing gifts is the most important task at hand.

That's because those are exchanged on the morning of the 25th of December. Everyone wants to give their gifts on time.

Will you be celebrating Christmas?

In my own small way I will. There's some people I've met here who I feel like giving gifts too.

We never celebrated this holiday in Asgard, but we did have winter festivals.

... I have a gift for my brother, although I doubt it is something he really needs.

There are many gifts we don't need, but they can become useful in different ways.

I.. can't say much about family matters myself seeing as how I don't have any of my own, but I'm sure he would appreciate it.

You said the holiday had changed much since your day. Are you from an older time on Earth?

I was born in an older era and I don't look my age anymore because of the magic in my veins.
