Even in space, where the moon stayed still, and the ship did not, Aphrodite still had the sense of when things were to occur. And tonight was her holy day.
Most gods expected gifts on their holy days. Aphrodite gave gifts. She had chosen people to gift with a special blessing for tonight, to worship her, to love her. And of course to amuse her.
She arranged herself in a grove in the park near the dolphin pool she had finessed into being by various means, one filled with potted roses, pomegranate, apple and lime trees, filling the air with a lush scent reminiscent of her own.
Some were invited here, others were blessed, and one couple in particular she had sequestered, mostly to save on the irritation of finding them. Riza and Roy were locked into their apartment, and her blessing given to encourage whatever may come from that. A compulsion was laid on the door to keep others out and them in.
