[ in truth, Genkaku is better at giving presents than he gives himself credit for, even when they breech the terms of Salvation. the people he cares about beyond cannon fodder, the few he puts genuine thought into ... his gifts hit hard and hit home, forcing bonds and mutual understanding like a clean hand shoved into an open ribcage. ]
[ even so, Ritsuka has always been something of an anomaly to him. he doesn't understand him (though he wants to), he only knows pieces of his trademark pain (not just the pain everyone feels but the kind that's Unique To Ritsuka), and he's so simple and so complex at the same time, leaving the monk's head spinning at times. but today, he's confident in his gift. ]

[ he's dragged the little catboy through hallways and corridors in the upper levels of the ship, the cleanpristine interiors until they're both stepping into a room that is labelled with a golden plate that states its purpose, but Genkaku carts the boy in too quickly for a reading ]
[ within is a strange-looking device atop a chair, a large bowl-dome and wires coming out of it where a person's head would be should they sit in it, and Genkaku makes obvious this is to be his new throne when he deposits a boot right into the leathery cushion of the seat. in front of that, is a bright white screen that looks like it's used for movie projections. ]
