[OPEN SEASON] RNC CHARITY DINNER DATE AUCTION
Who: ANYONE & Everyone.
What: "Dinner Date Auction" for the Refugee Neighborhood Clinic Charity Ball & Fundraiser
When: Late Afternoon/Early Evening 1/21
Where: Hill House
Warnings: Add your tag in when you tag the log; threadjacking is welcome. otnpc is Ish with the NPC bidders; feel free to add your own NPC bidders in comments. Prose or action bracket, as you prefer. GET STARTED WHENEVER! Feel free to react outside of given thread headers -- those are there to help give people ideas of where to/when to react or thread things, and that is all.
Note: EACH PLAYER WITH A VOLUNTEER (WHO IS BEING BID ON) CHOOSES WHEN THAT CHARACTER HAS BEEN "WON" OOCLY. Declare a winner whenever you want to, guys! If my NPCs win... I promise they won't be as hideous as you think.
The House is looking clean and semi-formal, which wasn't entirely an accurate representation of the people inside. Volunteers had been hard at work since earlier in the afternoon, and now the impromptu "stage" that built off the Grand Staircase boasted an auctioneer's podium, a microphone for the volunteers to use should they want to, and a banner flying over their heads announcing what this event was for.
The auctioneer himself, a squat looking older man with a fascinating love of gavels, spoke briefly with the coordinators before walking over to his podium and assuming a ready stance. In moments, thre would be an address, and this Charity Date Auction would be underway. A decent sized crowd, some just gawkers, others genuinely curious, others thinly veiled in their perhaps contempt, fill and swell the ranks of the refugees. Citizens are present, along with a few travelers using the ship as a stop off.
To the side of the stage, a list announces the order of call to stage:
