You never have a second chance...

Who: Irene Adler, (Modern) Sherlock Holmes
(missthewoman, whatsolarsystem)
What: Irene has the most abysmal luck. Of all the people on the Thor, this is the very last stranger she'd want to pickpocket.
When: February 7
Where: A busy shopping area
Warnings: I... wonder... >.>

Bags of clothing at her feet, Irene watched the crowds go by through the shopping area with a keen eye. She'd just spent about everything she'd received in exchange for a small bauble she'd had on her, and was now turning her mind to other prospects.

She had in mind an old ruse of hers, suitable for it's mostly harmless nature. Bumping into a man who might seem to be of some means, she would lift something from his pocket. Chances were good it would be something of value, particularly if it was in a breast pocket. Then, when she came after the man with his valuable (perhaps a note lighter if it was a wallet), she would get to see his character. Grateful for the items return? Abashed that he'd lost it? Frustrated that a woman had caught him so unawares? She'd seen many variations.
If he had an agreeable nature, she could pursue his interest - at the very least get a lovely lunch out of his gratitude.

Someone tall with a relatively slow stride caught her eye and she took up her bags to start walking in that direction. It didn't take much at all to act bewildered by the aliens around her, the shops, why even the walls were unlike anything she'd seen before. Coming closer she eyed her mark carefully while still acting distracted. He seemed quite lost in thought, an almost bored look upon his face. The style of his clothing was something that she was starting to recognize as more modern, but it held a classic appeal and seemed decently sharp. And he was fairly handsome, which helped.

Thus decided, she moved with the flow of bodies to drift closer to the man. Juggling her bags awkwardly, she turned suddenly as if something had caught her attention, and shouldered right into the man. For all that her frame was petite she had no doubt she could stagger him, distracted as he was, and by sending her bags flying dramatically have a chance to fall upon him, hands quick to his pocket.
