No, seriously.
Where to start? "That was a different Nancy, a Nancy more naïve and more breakable, a Nancy who broke down in his strong arms and took him up on his promise of comfort, an indefinitely extended promise that maybe hadn’t ended, hasn’t ended, and maybe that’s why she’s here, steadily climbing the latitude lines."
Oh, that breaks my heart because, really, looking back at that Nancy and the Nancy we have now makes me all nostalgic and her immediate solace she found with Conrad was evident from the very beginning.
And the dialogue, the ending, everything - was all so very much in character and I don't care what Jenji Kohan decides to give us in season 4, this totally happened. (Or will happen.) You go, girl.
Edit: Also, may I pimp this in my LJ? Because it totally deserves to be read by everyone. But if not, that's okay, just let me know. :)

That was both utterly depressing and fantastic at the same time.
The tone of it all is perfect. Especially Conrad. I think you got his voice just right. The truth, the finality of it all brings a kind of closure to things that the series has yet to. Not that in all reality I want it to. Because I could ship Nancy/Conrad until the dawn of time if they'd let me.
Fabulous. Just fabulous.

I agree- I would never want to see this happen, but I just needed to create a reason that they are no longer together, at least. The show's lack of explanation baffles me.
