There's a very good reason we don't think about racism in American society, because it is completely neccessary for our way of life. Look on the back of whatever t-shirt you're wearing, look at where it's made: Honduras, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico. Yah, I'm sure all of these workers are making minimum wage, right. These Free Trade Zones (often attracting American and other foreign investors from China and Japan with promises of ten year or more tax freedoms and no minimum wage) are where most of our imports are produced. Capitalism thrives only because we have these sources of cheap labor to help cut costs, without all these FTZ's, everything on the market would be more expensive. Imagine having to buy a pair of jeans that were made by someone who could actually support their family on the wages they were earning! Imagine that

oh, and just so you know, some of the biggest perpetrators of this utilization of cheap foreign labor are ford and gm. that domestic car of yours was probably made in mexico, and your mercedes is probably more likely to be made in the us. so go buy mercedes, mexicans, after you get your desk jobs.
