I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Regrowth was one of my main fears. I have heard of it happening maybe twice in the past decade (7 years post op, 3 years of research prior). In the several years post-op I was not on T, I did get some tenderness in line with my cycles, but never had regrowth (despite constant paranoia over it). I can't recall if either of the people I heard about had had peri. Both methods remove breast tissue; DI removes more of it only b/c there's more to start with in most DI patients. I think if anything you might be onto something with your age at surgery. My breasts kept growing into my early 20s and I think that's pretty common. It could be that allowing your body to become estrogen dominant again has triggered the last of your original puberty. If you're concerned I would start documenting with pictures and measurements so you will know for sure and not be staring in the mirror wondering whether it's real or paranoia. Again, I'm really sorry and I hope that's not what's happening.

hey thanks for the response. i guess you wouldnt remember how severe it was in the cases you read about when you were doing research?

i guess if worst comes to worst i can get a revision ( always kinda wanted one but couldnt be bothered), i just thought i was done spending my life savings on trans shit.

I don't, sorry. I hope you don't need to have a revision. I hear you on the money thing, ugh.

Sorry, I was DI, not peri, so can't really give info for your situation. My T time has been mega-sporadic, though, and my chest remains as board flat as ever. (Thank god.)

I had peri 7 years ago, was on T for 3 years, have been off T for 3 and a half years. Over time I have noticed that my chest has regrown some breast tissue. It doesn't really look like breasts those. Just a fatty chest. I've also just gained 20-30lbs in the last 2 years due to poor diet. I think if I had to do it again, I'd be better about working out my chest post-stopping -T. I feel like it would always be a risk. I'm not worried about my breasts regrowing into actual breasts, however I don't feel as comfortable being shirtless as I once was. I plan to go to the gym daily and eat healthy for the next two years while I'm in school. Hopefully that will be all I need to fix the issues I have with my chest and hips.

Also to stop my menses I have been on the Mirena IUD. Works like a charm in case that's something you're interested in.

would you mind if i PMed you about the mirena thing / general stopping t stuff? would be really good to speak to someone a bit further ahead in all this than me.
