I don't think it makes you a horrible person at all. I mean, when you're with someone and planning to marry them you are marrying their family as well and all that negativity will spill over on you in some way shape or form.

However, I'm sure that you don't want to leave him so have you brought this issue up to him at all, like how much it's already bothering you?
