And what was YOUR day like?

Arrived early to work on Tuesday, did my premise check and nothing was amiss. Did my paperwork and opening inventory, did the computer entries, then went out for a smoke and saw a truck parked in back of our store. OK, no prob, people leave their cars in our lot all the time, be it for breakdowns, carpooling etc ( Read more... )

My boss actually got me a pin that looks like a US Marshals badge and which says "Wendys Safety Marshal" and i wear it proudly!!!

There is so much happening right now I cant even begin to explain but suffice to say I will be staking out and photographing the action at a crack spot tomorrow night, thanks to a family of 6 (my buddy Todd's wife and 4 kids) who are tired of dealing with this crap in front of their house!! And surprise surprise, this is the spot that our burglars patronize!!

Possible infrared photos coming but at the very least, GREAT photos..

What more can you expect of me?

And I would have traded with u in a heartbeat.

As much as I like the excitement of Utica, the City, I would give my sould to just be able to relax in the burbs or country and work on my gardens, flower and veggie...

I crave this...

Nice that you can plant at this time of year. We are expecting our first frost tomorrow night, lows in low 30s~~!!!! No more outdoor planting here, to be sure!!!

I'm very glad to be finally planting again. Can't get out to water much during smog season, and nothing likes growing on a West facing porch when it's 109 in the shade.

Planting schedules around here are an odd reversal. Summer is the inhospitable season, especially for people who don't have real land that could soak up a lot of water, Winter is the season to crave for its short days that might let onions grow to full size without setting seed too soon. Assuming the wind doesn't just tear the whole thing up.

I think every climate has its own difficulties. I spent much of the summer envying people who can grow annual herbs without having to chase after them daily crying "no, don't go to seed, not yet! not yet!". But I'm sure a week farther North and I'd be begging for boring dry heat again.

Looks like a school district truck. Never a dull moment!

Was a maintenance vehicle for Oneida School Dist. Idiots stole it, broke into toolbox but did NOT take any tools, there were a shitload of tools in the box!!

Dan I really need to move back into the country. This city life, interesting as it is, is really starting to wear on me.
