Minnesota "Home of the Next Columbine"
So Minnesota was the home of the next Columbine. =/ Yup, Monday the 21st of March; Red Lake High School was shot up by some guy. 10 dead among them were his grandparents, himself, a teacher, and a sercurity guard. And over 15 students injured in which 2 of them are in serious or critical condtition.
My god. I panicked last year in September of my Junior year when a school in the Twin Cities had a shooting since it was so close to home for me. Even through only 2 teens were killed.. still it scared me. But Red Lake was more scary because it was a repeat of Columbine basically. So it was scary me for alot.
The news stories that have got my attention in the past 8 years I think were:
- Jon Bennet Murder
- Columbine Shooting
- Paul Wellstone's Death
- September 11th [Big time. But then again the whole world stopped that day]
- Dru Sjudoin Kidnapping & Murder
- Lacy Peterson Murder [This disgusted how a husband could do that to his wife and unborn child]
- Elizabeth Smart Kidnapping & Return [Amazing she's alive]
- Red Lake Shooting
And you know what's funny? Well not really funny.. [Hey! I'm sacrastic] is that I know one of the kids that got injured in Red Lake. Don't worry he checked out of the hostipal on Friday night. So yayness.
In other news.. more happier news I promise you. Kelly is back at school now after being gone for 2 months. Of course he comes in a different way that has less students entering. So I met him at that door and he came with his mom so I said Hey to her. And this happened:
- K- BECKY!!
- B- KELLY!!
- K- BECKY!!
- B- KELLY!!
- K- BECKY!!
- B- [a lil annoyed now] Kellly!
- K- Can I get a hug?
- B- Kelly! [fake punches in stomach] You don't have to ask! You know that.
- [We hug each other to death, well he hugs me to death]
- B- Dude Kelly!! You're killing me here, Babe! haha..
- K- Oh sorry, Ecky.
- B- That's my name!! So ya ready for school after being gone for 2 months?
- K- I'm ready to weightlift.
- B- Dude, take your time.
And then I realize I'm like super late to 1st hour.. urghh... So anyways I get there hoping I can sneak in but nopehe assigned new seats plus we were watching the movie "Gandhi" all week long. Even more yays [Note the sacrasm people] so far the movie hasn't made me fall asleep yet; which is good. Very good. =)
And dudes.. I just made the best CD ever. [Well 4 cds cos the playlist was like 3 hours long] It's awesome!! It's got My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Simple Plan, Senses Fail, Hawthorne Heights & Fall Out Boy. It doesn't have The USED on it cos I don't have that cd yet.. =(
The WARPED Tour comes to MinneSNOWta on July 24th at the Metrodome. And fuck yes, it has most of the bands taht played at the TASTE OF CHAOS Tour on March 20th at Roy Wilkins. And woohoo!! It has like 100 bands and four stages and almost all my favorite bands are playing. So I'm in my happy place. =D And now the COUNTDOWN To Warp begins... t-minus[I've always wanted to say that] days...
