I find that I respect it more when people are honest with me. It's nice to have tact and all that, but you don't need to change who you are and how you talk to people. It's what attracts the majority of your friends in the first place. So maybe they're just ultra-sensitive right now because of other things going on in their lives, or maybe you're crossing a line somewhere, but ultimately your friends love you for you and will continue to do so, even if you step on their toes on occassion. Don't sweat it. We all need to be reminded when we're looking a tad trashy ;-) Usually that was the unspoken intent anyway. I love you Thea!
Thank you. You have an excellent point about them perhaps having other things in their lives. I hadn't thought of that. This helps settles thing in my mind a bit. And I love you, too!
As I'm sure you know, I'm another person who is all about honesty. Generally, the more honest, the better.
But one of life's truths is that to get along with our fellow man, we have to be sensitive to the feelings of others. Saying something that you know will be inflammatory doesn't really do anyone any good.
It is good to be honest. It is not good to say whatever pops into your head.
Unless you prefer lack of self-censorship to friends.
Honestly, though, sweetheart... I really don't think you have a big problem with this. You usually show enough tact to get by. ;)
I never have to worry about too much bluntness with you. It's other people who I don't think have your resilience. But Sarah has a point that maybe they have other issues. I don't know, though, it's driving me nuts.
Thank you, though. You have an excellent point. That would be wisdom if my subconscious was willing to acknowledge that.
