I just peeled off a "plaster" from my heel where I have a blister from my heels. Plaster. I suppose it makes sense to call a bandaid a plaster, or at least as much sense as "bandaid". I always feel foolish asking for "plasters", like it's some type of joke the English are playing on us to see how far they can string us along. Like it's a new word ( Read more... )

It truly is an exceptional place. I miss it almost daily. Then again, I've always loved the bustle and eccentricity and anonymity that is the city. Durham will never compare. Nowhere will, probably. Sure, NYC is nice. Paris is beautiful. Rome is ancient. But London has a vitality and a history that touches the soul... we're all tied to it really. Be it through imperial conquest or lineage or childhood storybooks, we all have London in our hearts ( ... )

And Jewel Bar. In Picadilly. Go there. It's a beautiful bar, full of rich men just aching to buy pretty women Grey Goose vodka. They have a website. Look them up. 1 Leichester Square is one of the best clubs I've ever been to. That is also nearby.

I love it here already. It doesn't seem real how much I love it.

The ATM was the one by HSBC right next to the Tube. I've been on Circle, Hammersmith and City, Bakerloo, and Jubilee. I think I've been on Victoria once. Do you know the waffles outside Baker? They are amazing. With whipped cream.

I can't wait to go out to the gay clubs. What should I wear?

It's funny, I'm not in Professor Brady's class because I decided I only wanted four classes. But yes, I did name drop you.

I'll go to the piano bar for you, and Jewel Bar and 1 Leicester Square.

Love you much,
Thea

I remember the HSBC ATM vividly. Haha. Circle Line is an absolute nightmare. Have you run across the flaws in the English transportation system yet? I once got trapped underground on Circle for 45 minutes. Made me late for a field trip. I really like the Jubilee line. Generally had the nicest trains. The waffles outside Baker are amazing. The chocolate ones in particular. I had them frequently ( ... )

Thoroughly jealous :) I'm glad you're enjoying it! I don't think you can ever get enough of new things. I routinely find myself wishing to go back to the few places I've ever traveled to, not to mention aching to see everything else as well. Have fun and be safe!

Thank you! You'll make it back one day. I feel like once you start traveling you can't stop, much like the pringles and chocolate I keep pounding here.
