Have you contacted Opus yet to get space to sell?

If not go to www.opusfest.com and the contacts are posted there.

Let me know if you need help=)

I haven't reserved any space. Actually, we just booked the tickets a few days ago, and I didn't want to reserve anything until then.

I'm just going to do the auction again this year, since I'm too tired to man a booth, and I'd rather get the chance to enjoy the con. If you could reserve a space for me, that would be cool. Otherwise, I'll try to find time to figure out the website reservation system.

I will reserve 2 panels for you, that should provide enough space

it's not callous. when i hear about 90+ year old people passing away, i think 'well, good for them! they made it to 90 and had a nice long life.' i kind of envy them, actually. my grandparents didn't make it past 55-60ish and my oldest living relative is my dads olders brother, at 60, followed by my mom at 55. i would *love* it if one of my family members (that i actually liked) made it to 90. it would be a pleasant change.

in conclusion: you're not a monster at all, and have fun selling art and pestering Martin! =)

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. I didn't feel too bad about my grandmothers either...they were both over 90, and for one it was a relief from pain, and for the other it was so sudden we were thankful she never had to go through the pain of a full decline.

I was wondering where the third one was, since in my experience death comes in threes, and Jon's grandmother and another friend's grandfather passed away this last weekend. My condolences to your family.

LOL... thanks for the shout out, Jen! And yes, I got the news straight from Japan... I'll try to get in touch this weekend!

Sympathies on your grandfather. I remember when my grandfather died of cancer, we had been expecting it for so long that it was so expected that it couldn't shock us so much that we felt more numb than anything else. sometimes, we just react differently than what's considered "normal."
