what is with the artistic world this week? yesterday, pavarotti. today, dear madeleine l'engle. :( i'm in the process of reading walking on water, her commentary on what it means to be a christian artist. she was an amazing woman and an amazing writer, and she'll be missed.

at least they closed it before anything worse happened.

i've been busy. and i'm too lazy to do a cut right now. last weekend was the annual vork family and friends recital, now aptly named "vorkfest 2007." i think it went well despite a few unfortunate incidents. so everyone's frenzy finally convinced me to read the harry potter series. i started with book three as advised by several people after i confessed that i had at one point tried to read book one and hated it. now i'm on book 6. bought it on monday at barnes and noble. got to page 244...and pages 245 through 276 are missing. ARGH!
