We were invited over to Roberts to watch the movie last night.  I had seen bits and pieces but never made the connection to the stage show.  While there's quite a bit of drama taking place in the household, and a lot of suppressed anger and other feelings, Billy manages to allow his passion for the dance to flourish.  There's that whole performance

i love that movie, although there are a couple moments where it lets you down, like at the end when his teacher should have been in the audience

True. I thought there'd be some kind of hug or congratulations when he got accepted, rather than this "I heard."
