I'm a bit torn about what to write, because I don't want to be spoilypants even minorly if I know, say, motivations and plot details and such, but at the same time it feels silly to just... not write anything a'tall. Oh well, I'll do my best!
I wonder if there's supposed to be something magical about going counter-clockwise (or anti-clockwise if you prefer)instead of clockwise. Anyhow, poor Sophie. Such a struggle just to get a warm fire to sleep by, uncomfortably I might add!
Maybe Sophie shouldn't think that they'd "have to use extreme and violent magic to" get her out of the chair, when she's in the castle of a wizard with an evil reputation?
I have the difficulty with Michael sometimes of figuring out if he's just really placid by nature, gotten really jaded as far as "weirdness" goes by being around Howl and Calcifer, or if he's just not too bright. Or all the the above.
I feel like I should say something more about Calcifer as he's introduced here, since he's just a cool character in general (well, not cool literally obviously), but... I can't think of much at this point. At least he's honest enough to admit he's not being completely honest?
Nice motivation for making a deal with a demon... because you feel kinship with it because of being exploited! Then again, I suppose she doesn't have any really good options at this point...
And it turns out Sophie WAS in shock the day before, about the whole "oh, I'm not angry and will just take this calmly" thing. (I wasn't completely being coy, I thought I remembered SOMETHING of the sort, but I wasn't sure. I couldn't remember if it was something that had been stated, or something I'd come up with in my own head to explain it.)
I'll admit, I'm also curious as to whether there's a "D" missing or not in "Drying Power." Could go either way, given the circumstances...
Sophie DOES seem to be rather bullying, doesn't she?
Two thousand pairs of seven-league boots? Well, at least Howl's obviously not always lazy and avoiding people. :p As a side note, for some reason I've always really liked the door, where different colors make the door open to different locations.
Anyhow, I guess I found some stuff to say about the section, after all!
le schedule!
