Domain wootage

Nov 05, 2007 16:47

I finally cleared up the issues with getting set up with OpenSRS, so I now can finally register domains and sell SSL certificates!

I don't have the full website up and running yet (still waiting on a couple of things), but I am accepting registrations, transfers, and sales manually.

If anyone's interested in buying from me, let me know.

Hmmm when my domain expires I may have to switch. At the very least it means I won't have to deal with GoDaddy. What TLDs are you able to register them for?

The usual
I can do country .ccTLDs, but it's ad hoc on the pricing and you have to qualify

If you want to switch, I suggest doing a transfer at least 30 days before expiration, *before* they expire. Domains renew for the renewal term starting at the point where it would have normally expired.

will you have an easy to use interface to alter nameserver glue records, possibly with IPv6 addresses?

Also, will you ICB a batch move?

ICB?

I will do batch transfers, though the whole thing is irritating, no matter how you do it.

I need to check on IPv6 glue. There will be an interface soon.

individual case basis pricing. I'm referring to perhaps a discount for a mass purchase. If it would cut into your margins too much that's fine, I gain nothing by having a non-profitable registrar. Just thought it was worth asking about. :)

Are you considering an api that would allow me to purchase crap without any sort of filling out forms or human interaction?

I am willing to consider volume discounts. Let me know how many domains we're talking here, and we'll go from there.

As for an API, that is something that I haven't considered, but I am now.
