Today whilst in town I witnessed an effect that I have been tracking for some time. I am speaking of course of the unique power/field/gravitational pull of the catalogue shop: Argos.
Course you know, the GLC have immortalised the romantic aspect of Argos in their song, You Knows I Loves You. Yes indeed, you can get something a bit like gold and a bit like diamond for a stunning £12.99 from Elizabeth Duke! It's valentine's day next week. It's commercialised and over-sentimentalised, but just think how many more stroppy-faced shell-suited trollops there would be in Wolvo if it weren't for Argos? At least, with a classy goldish sovereign, or one of those swinging clown thingies, or a nice little ring set with your birthstone, or one of those heart shape pendants that splits in two so you can both wear half - without these wonderful gift ideas, the ladies would have nothing but their very tight hair to pull their mouths back into some semblance of a smile. Don't give gravity a chance! Go, live and breath the dream that is Argos!

he did a skit likening the wonders of argos to a dragon horde, and the staff to little goblin hordekeepers.
