Weekend Report (Independence Day)
Friday: Got out of work at 3PM as scheduled. Didn't get caught in too much traffic heading north, and actually completed the run to Coweta in 3:45. I'm convinced that I can make the run in 3:30 without having to excessively break speed limits (Meaning stick to 5 over the limit) but that would take ideal traffic conditions. Well, talked with the dealership. The car is not going to be done until at least Tuesday. Seems the dolts at Engineering couldn't find the correct part for a fix, so the Shop is ordering a brand new part and installing it over the weekend ( Read more... ) -

Call.... from.... hell.
Have been on the phone with a user for 27 minutes now. And he won't let it go. And he's on a speakerphone, with the volume turned all the way up. And it is right next to his PC speakers.
This is the moment that I hate my job. Thankfully, it will not last long beyond hte moment I hang up.

Okay... maybe I'm being a total stickler here, but I think if you are going to be taking a job working a Call Center that services not only users from the U.S., but also in the U.K. and other nations, you should at least have enough sense to at least curb your voice enough that you don't sound like an Inbred Hick when you take calls ( Read more... ) -

So my team lead and manager have come up with a good way to motivate us to meet SLAs.
