My baby is now in the ICU at cherokee animal hospital. She couldnt stop throwing up last night, she wont eat, she wont drink. Her stomach is now smaller than her spinal cord:( I hate watching her suffer like this, i want her to get better, the doctors say she still has a chance and to look up on the situation because most dogs dont even make it a

Try disinfectant on the carpets. You don't wanna bleach them. Use diluted bleach everywhere else that you are able to. Her rubber toys and balls need not be thrown away. Just wipe them down with diluted bleach water. Her bedding and stuff and yours will be ok if you wash it in the hottest water setting and maybe add a bit of lysol disinfectant to the wash. You probably don't need to add the disinfectant unless you have to wash something in a non hot setting. (Lysol makes a good concentrated disinfectant in an little dark brown bottle. It stinks like a hospital but it is good stuff

I hope she gets through this. She certainly seems to be putting up a good fight.

I did a search to learn more about parvo, and a site I read said that the parvo vaccine doesn't always work for puppies. According to the site they often have to be vaccinated a number of times because of the antibodies they get from their mother prevent the vaccine from working sometimes. But if that's the case, you should have been told that when she was vaccinated.
