Ive got this hard lump on my neck...right behind my right ear...you cant see it but you can sure feel it, I thought maybe it was a swollen gland and that it would go away since I have horrible sinuses. However it has been over a month now. It doesnt hurt, should I go have it checked out or does anyone have and ideas what it could be?

How big is it? If it's small, it could just be a cyst. I've gotten lumps... from what I'm guessing, sebaceous cysts, mostly in the lobe and around the area where the ear connects to the head. They really seemed to like the ear area. All sorts of yuck, although none any bigger than a marble. My epidemic ended when I finally found the right concoction of face cleaning stuffs for summer vs. winter that would keep the right balance of not too dry not too greasy. Annoying, these things.

Especially if this is a large lump (and your skin isn't annoying like mine), yeah, I'd have it checked out. I know at least one type of thyroid issue can cause swollenness that seems like it could be a swollen gland. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially if it's hung around for a month. And hey, if it is something simple, you'll know for next time what to expect.

*huggaroos* Good luck! :)

thanks sweetie. Its about the same size as the tip of my pointer finger maybe a little smaller. My mom has thyroid problems so they test me for it regularly, so far I dont have it, maybe I should get tested again?
