I sorta think you'll not be as impressed with the book. The Wachowskis added the love story element, and messed with some other stuff to sort of beat you over the head with the modern-day bit of things. They did good, and it's a good book, but they are pretty seperate from each other. PS: It was Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up parliment in the beginning of the movie. That's why they have Guy Fawkes day (11/5) in England now... Remember, remember the 5th of November ;).
yes i know it was guy fawkes in the beginning of the movie, and I did research on him , which makes the movie, and that element of truth so interesting for me. I know the book will be different, as far as researching the novel I read that they pretty much show the girl in the book as a bimbo. but I think I would love the book*I like graphic novels alot*
The book is awesome, I loved it, but it takes a lot more time to draw out the story. Alan Moore, the author, takes his time and has more sub-plots going on. It's also darker (Evey is rescued by V as she's trying to turn a trick) in nature too. V is less of a freedom fighter and more of a pure anarchist.
They're both excellent and I like them both very much, the book is worth a read in my opinion, but echoing what Mudo said, don't expect it to be just like the movie.
Im sure the book will be alot different*as most books turned into movies are* and Im the nerd that always likes the book more than the movie lol:) So I am very excited for my book to show up on my doorstep, I ordered it today yaayyyeeee!!!:)
I was able to scoop V for Vendetta and The Watchmen from Amazon for 21 bucks, I was stoked about that one. If you like V, you might want to try the Watchmen out, its way more philosophical and cerebral, but the thing is mind-blowingly good.
