I highly recommend the book Stiff. The audio book has excellent narration if you do that too.

And for movies, make sure you check out "What the Bleep Do We Know".

Are you referring to Stiff by Mary Roach? That is one of my favorite books! I find it absolutely fascinating. I want to hug you.

And thank you for your recommendation of "What the Bleep Do We Know"; I will certainly watch it.

I have heard good things about Kite Runner. A Thousand Splendid Suns sounds familiar, but I don't remember why.
Thank you!!

There's a movie "The Kite Runner" coming out soon. My mom is reading the book right now, and I got her "A Thousand Splendid Suns" for Christmas. She really likes that author.
I would recommend anything written by Marion Zimmer Bradley, but I'm a huge fan of Sci-fi Fantasy.

Perfume: the story of a murder is a great movie. Also anything by Neil Gaiman and James Moore are wonderful books. james moore does some great funny books that are just plain weird but he also writes a mean horror novel. um not sure what genera of books your looking for. But if you like fantasy or horror ive got quite a few authors/books i could recommend. so hit me up if your interested.

Fantasy recommendations:
Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean; his Elenium was pretty good too, as was Redemption of Althalus (single novel)
Feist's Riftwar Saga

Trudi Canavan's The Black Magician was a pretty good trilogy as well.
Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books...

Tad William's Otherworld series is a bit geeky, but good. His Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series is also good, though kind of long-winded.

Goodkind's Sword of Truth series was good, though I lost interest around halfway through personally.
