To my surprise (and joy) there was no line, either to grab the book or to check out. She pulled an all-nighter, finishing it around 8am. So I got an e-mail from the mortgage guy at the bank this morning. Our house appraised at $85k. And we're paying $75k. Woohoo! Our real estate agent said there's a 50/50 chance that we'll be able to close on Monday. I sure hope we can, because that would be AMAZING. Well, well, well. We made an offer on a house, we heard back today. It's looking promising, but because its a bank foreclosure instead of a real owner, there's a few more hoops to jump through. The blizzard of 2007 has come and (mostly) gone. I'm glad to say that I have survived. It started off with several inches of snow Tuesday morning. I tried to get my car out of the parking lot, but that didn't work out so well. I ended up having to walk to work, which wasn't awful, but I wasn't too thrilled about it.
