If your child were an adult and had a close friend or spouse who was using him/er, would you write off that child as easily as you're writing off your wife?

Point taken; I was ranting because I've had it. There is a lot going on that isn't included in the rant.

Money is big issue and we have taken on 28K more debt in a parent loan for my step-son’s first year. My wife also co-signed a loan for another 28K for this year. He won't work and he won't even try for scholarships. All he does is make excuses. With the house we owe over 200K and there is no end in sight if we keep paying for every little thing he wants. We are killing ourselves for him to live a lifestyle I, my wife, and my children do not enjoy.

The relationship with my wife has really gone south the last few years and I’d be kidding myself to think it will change. Counseling got us nowhere because she keeps walking out if they don’t agree with her. According to her, everything is an issue with me. I’m just tired of fighting.

I won’t go into anymore detail, but there are other issues. Needless to say I’m planning my exodus and I’m hoping to take both my children with me.

I don't know what to say as I have never had to deal with anything like this, but I'm sending *huggles* and I hope you can work this out to a point where you are happy with whatever decision you choose.
