They're On To Me

Haven’t felt very inspired to share recently, and perhaps it’s just my imagination, but the f-list also seems to have quieted. It could be that more entries are filtered, but I flatter myself, in my solipsistic world, that instead we are all part of this greater unconsciousness, and that greater mind is focused upon other things at the moment ( Read more... )

If you're in the mood for fiction recommendations, I can suggest Alan Furst. SL turned me onto him, and he writes smart, complex, twisty, ambiguous novels about WWII and the before-and-after of that. Usually involves Soviet spies. Excellent meaty stories, complicated characters.

I'm quieter since they started filtering at work. ::shrugs::

I was thinking of coming to visit, but instead I'm flying back east to help close out the folks' summer house for sale. Pfeh. Anyway. But I'd love to come down at some point and feel jealous about all the work you've done on the house.

I'm in the mood, but will wait on the rec until I'm home again. As of this moment, I am scheduled to go home and remain there through the new year!

*gawk*

We'll see, of course, but just the concept of that open space on my calendar is _delicious_.

Which means there are several months for you to come see me. And admire the floors. And my thresholds, which were finally completed tonight, in my absence. (Yay!!!)

Have been busy at school, and trying to not get into fights on lj.

(Really.) Still posting most every day, though. But I'm not on as long as sometimes.

It seems that people are coming out of summer break. Even the ones who aren't in school.

Most people call me emotionless, too.

Hmmm.

*goes off to ponder this oddity*

Six books a week is nice, considering that you're supposed to work :)
My record have been 6 books at 600 pages each in 6 days. That was back in school though. I just read Illuminatus in one evening, which was a bad idea since it was the last of 4 books i had with me in Egypt and i still had 4 days to cover. Turned out to be 4 boring days, since it's not an easy task to find anything readable in a tourist village :(
Next time i'll fill a 512MB SD-Card with e-books for sure *vbeg*
