Five Things

* I spoke to a homeless man yesterday, and he told me he walked from Las Vegas to San Diego because he had heard he could get a job. I don't know if it was true. I gave him directions to three different employment offices in the area and wished him good luck. God bless, he told me, and smiled, and it felt, indeed, like a benediction.

Wow. If that's a true story, I'm extremely impressed, and I hope he lands a good job very quickly.

He said it took him 27 days, and that he learned he cared more about running out of water than he did food.

When he smiled, I smiled, and we shared.

London! How marvelous! You do need a vacation, and I'm very glad you are taking it. If you have time, look up infinitemonkeys, who will tell you the best beer gardens and geek over home-improvement with you. And she has fabulous ranty stories about British politics.

There is a nice place in London where they serve Okonimiyaki - freshly made. Only place in Europe that i found so far.
If i torture my brains a bit i might remember the directions.
