Guys, my mind is properly blown. And I bawled my eyes out. End of story. Some things bothered me, some things confused me, etc. but right now I'm in that twilight zone where it doesn't matter much (it's also quite late) and I'm not coherent enough to even remember them all.

To be quite honest, the first two books didn't do much for me. The story and the stakes really pick up with the third book (Z). Ward's one hell of a writer when she mixes the urban fantasy in superbly with the paranormal romance. Sometimes she fails (as people say she did with this newest installment) at creating a good balance, but despite her small shortcomings you've got to admit her world-building skills are out of this world (ha).
