i did financial aid.

one year they rejected the application for one of my loans. it was an application my dad had filled out. i stood in line at the student services center for an hour and when i got up to the front i said "i don't see what's wrong here."

the woman read over the application and said "you're right, this is all good.... well...."

i said "what is it?"

she said "well it looks to me like maybe the blue pen your dad used to fill this out, maybe it's not quite a true blue. it looks like it might be a little indigo in this light."

i said "WHAT?"

she said "we only accept applications in true blue or black ink. you'll have to re-fill it out and re-submit it."

so..... good luck with all of that.
