Rarin' t'go!

So, Jyuu and I have decided that we're going to start having healthier meals. This is partly because of suggestions by both of our doctors (Jyuu's to lower her cholesterol, and mine to "Lose some weight... You'll feel better".), and partly because we both get very discouraged by the jiggle of body parts that shouldn't really jiggle, ie; bingo ( Read more... )

Me too.. but road trips equal time and money I don't have. I'm more thinking day trips like Deception Pass and Fort Casey. There are other places to go that can be accessed fairly easily...

Hmm.. I should try rock climbing again.

I'm planning to go spend a weekend up at Sol Duc hotsprings this summer if you guys want to come. I plan to do a lot of hiking this year to get Raven and myself in shape for Fall training season. Hope all goes well with your dieting.

yay me! jennkitty May 11 2005, 23:23:25 UTC
i read the part about no gym and started to get defensive, but then i said, "y'know, jennkitty, sparky is not referring directly to you, so suck it up and enjoy your new gym membership. dumbass." so i feel better now. not to mention, gym is better cuz: a) oregon, duh, always raining, b) canna do stairs and stuff yet due to kneeses, c) ryoga and i work out together, so is less boring. we are uberdorks. had our pinkies linked while riding recumbent bike last night. god, i am such a *girl* sometimes. hehe.

Yesh. I hav
e tried doing teh Gym many, many times.. I don' like it. Even when I have company, I get bored doing Gym activities. It's fine for some, just not for Sparky. Once in a while isn't bad.. I could maybe go once a week.. but I don't wanna pay Gym membership fees. Bleh!

Healthier eating & exercising & stuff momokaachan May 12 2005, 01:44:40 UTC
As I have mentioned many times, Iggy is very good for me. I get exercise at least 3 or more times a day just because he will not go out without me. Maybe you 2 should get demanding dog(s) (cats who use litter boxes don't count)?
Also, If Zanne remembers the pick-up meals we used to do, with cold cuts & cheese & fresh bread, and then there are taco salads which can serve for more than one meal & etcetera.... Email me or call and I can give you some healthy options which are NOT expensive. (As well as munchables which don't add inches or poundage and taste good too!)

Shall do~

And we'd love to get a dog.. (at least I know _I_ would ;). I miss my dog terribly.. but we're already sneaking around with our cat. A Dog would definitely be noticed.. 500 dollar pet deposits are scary things, especially when my paycheck is only in the 700-ish range. We could, of course, save up for it, but we're also trying to save up for a bigger apartment, which is difficult enough with price, and then having all the animals we have makes it -quite- a difficulty. So few places are animal friendly around here! I'd honestly be happy moving into one of the bigger appartments of our building. I don't mind the location, I just hate how small it is, and hanging right over 45th is pretty noisy. That's a whole new can of worms though ;)

there are a number of bike shops around that sell used bikes... or you could check LJ groups like seattlebuysell for possibilities.

I shall remember this for future reference.. Future being when I have cash X_x;; But it sounds good, seriously ^_^

Of course, I don't like biking on the open road.. so if that is involved, there may be a slight problem. My biking skills don't go happily with traffic.
