I recall a story in which he used to because that's how the Valar rolled in the early days of innocence, and when he met up with the Elves their lady-folk were…shall we say "impressed" and their men-folk less so.

When he returned to the other Valar he had to explain this thing called "clothes" which he had been given to wear ;-)
