I'm still alive! And to get back into the habit of posting after a six-week absence, here's a short story I've had sitting on my disk for a while,almost-finished.

Lissiel is about 58 at the time of this story. Elves come of age at 50, so she's a very young adult by elven standards. I'm assuming she (and Fëanor and Nerdanel) were all in the first generation of Eldar to be born in Valinor, after the Great Journey ended.

She's described in the Silmarillion as "chief among the Maiar of Valinor, [...] the handmaid of Varda". Eönwë is her co-equal, and in earlier versions of the story he's her brother.

The highest tower in Tirion, and I assume the tallest building in the world at this point in history. (Not that there's much competition.)
