So, the ex and I started talking again, but I've decided that I am moving out.  I've talked to a friend (who, unfortunately, happens to be a mutual friend), and she's going to open her house up to me.  Now all I have to do is find the courage to actually do it.

That sounds as if it's time to move out. Would be good to find a place nearer to the old one but if you have to move out the new place you have is better then staying.
