orange tic-tacs: I loved Juno. However, I spoke to some fellow adoptees who were offended that adoption was treated so lightly in a comedy. I will say this, these two individuals did not see the movie. I wondered if any other adoptees had a reaction to this movie

I totally didn't think about the fact that Jennifer Garner's character was surprised to see Juno when that ugly van was outside--good catch! I really enjoyed the movie as well. And I am pretty sure Michael Cera's character (why don't I remember any of the character names?!) asked the other girl out simply to please Juno because she told him to do that and he wanted to do whatever would make Juno happy. Oh, if I were 10 years younger, I would have the BIGGEST crush on Michael Cera. Ok, who am I kidding, I *do* have the biggest crush on Michael Cera!

Great to hear from you Carrie! I will say that this explanation for why (was his name Paulie?) Michael Cera asked out another girl sounds so appealing. Yet, his character isn't developed enough, in my opinion, to seem like he would even take that much initiative. I would like to believe that what sparked his possible anger and drove him to pick up the phone was his deep confusion about whether Juno was truly bored or had any feelings for him at all, rather than a blind following of Juno's direction. Yet, I will say this, Michael Cera's character was adorably tender-hearted and confused. Someone passive aggressively trying to resist his mom's strong personality.

By the way, did you see the YouTube video going around about Michael Cera's "botched audition" for Knocked Up? I'm still trying to decide if it's staged or not.

He was also featured in Funny or Die with a (once again, staged?) disturbing interview "Between the Ferns."
