WoW episode 6
6 The Fashion Week
In the dark forest specters rise from the ground. Sophie cowers, as one would.
On Earth the girls in their spy suits sneak into the prestigious fashion academy. I do like the spy suits, they look really cool. But guys, high heels are so not what you want to be wearing jumping around on rooftops!
This school is lovely, statues and art and plants everywhere.
The girls un-suit and they're wearing Sophie's designs. They recap that they're looking for the creature that looks like Sophie but isn't, and it could be dangerous. Then they enter a ballroom full of people. It's fashion week's biggest event. Stella wigs out about the celebrities, who I bet are supposed to resemble actual Italian stars. Then Sophie is spotted. The girls try to follow her but Stella is more interested in chasing her idols. She gets nabbed by security.
Tecna deploys a robot bee with a camera in it which follows Sophie. Bloom faces off with Sophie, whose eyes glow red, when Ace calls-and almost realizes they snuck in without putting it in WoW.
More following. Eventually Sophie goes upstairs to a balcony where they are less visible. Bloom follows. Sophie says, “You will not stop me from kidnapping the next talent!” and warps into a specter from the island! She roars, and snakes out tendrils of shadow to grab Bloom! Bloom falls off the balcony, luckily into a big cake. The crowd thinks this is great.
Bloom is now famous all over the world for falling into cake! Ace is furious.
In the pink RV we recap: real Sophie gone, replaced by a shadow creature. The girls are back at the fashion school, looking for more talents who may be there. Bloom sees the girl Nadine who walks like a model. She's very pretty, with wild dark hair. She recognizes Bloom from the cake. The girls try to recruit her to try modeling, and Nadine says that would be like making her dream come true. Dreamix confirms!
They dress Nadine in some funny clothes and get her to do the model walk. It seems like Nadine was working at the fashion school rather than studying. Anyway she gets the model walk down pretty fast, but not-Sophie is spying on them.
As always, Cliff likes her, Margot doesn't.
Security tells Nadine that Sophie has chosen her to model on a shoot on the Eiffel Tower. The Winx aren't allowed to come along, they'll have to sneak in-and Bloom won't let the cameras come. She “draws the line” with Ace about that, sounding very in-charge. Which... uh, yeah ok I draw the line with my boss when she demands good quick & fast (you can only pick two!) but I never talk like that while refusing to do my job!
Off to the tower! The girls transform and fly up there. Too late! Sophie and the security guy are there and have already dusted Nadine.
Sophie says she gets whoever she wants because “we are everywhere” she and the security goon turn into specters and battle is joined! The girls don't do much damage. Then the two creatures merge into one larger and nastier one. Then Bloom realizes light may be the answer to shadow monsters! Stella boosts the power of all the tower's lights and the creature is defeated.
Nadine wakes up, she's ok, and Stella makes Nadine a new dress she can strut in before the WoW cameras. Of course she gets voted wow and can be in the finals!
Then ace calls Bloom and says the Winx have to go home and face a “surprise contest” to apologize for all the camera ditching they've been doing. The girls show up in the studio in cute dresses to find they're set up to embarrass themselves. Flora dances, Musa cooks, Aisha does dramatic reading, Tecna paints, Stella tells a dumb story about her school days (but she didn't go to school on Earth...) and Bloom has to sing.
She's good at it, because of course.
Then a sound guy walks from backstage but his eyes are glowing red. Bloom magics the stagelights and drives him back, but knocks over Ace. Turns out Ace is bald! His wig fell off when he went down.
Bloom is fired!
Ok, she had it coming.
