 No, really.

So let's say you are writerly little me. Who also happens to be 8k behind on her NaNo, but we'll ignore that for now. You decide to go to a coffee shop to write. (what else?) You arrive to find that, huzzah! Holiday drinks (namely peppermint mochas) are back in season. And the next number in your mind is a calorie count.

Huzzah! I too love a hot peppermint mocha! Understand I am not a big star bucks fan but their peppermint mocha with peppermint whip cream is divine! :D OAN - It's nice to see you back on here, posting, although I don't have much room to talk do I? ^-~

I have a Starbucks problem on principle, but there is a local chain in my area that also sells the peppermint mocha. (And in a pinch I will buy Starbucks... it's only around for a few months, right? ;) )

Nice to see you too, I have missed everyone. Also, is it my imagination or do you have a new name?

I do have a new journal name. As I began to take my writing more seriously I started a new journal using my real name. Let's see I was trying to remember when I did this, maybe around last April? I'm not sure now, but I sent everyone a message directing them to add me. This is lucky, because just before Nano started, I was thinking about you...so it was cool that mere days later you were posting again. :D

Cool. I've been so completely absent from LJ, I must have missed the message. But I just added you again. I'm glad you kept the avatar, or I don't think I'd have recognized you. ^_^

Synchronicity, I suppose. :) Truth be told, it was NaNo that convinced me to come back. That, and I was starting to get curious about what everyone had been up to.

"...learning when and where to say "Fuck You" is an art"

Indeed it is. I'm so glad you posted it. For what it's worth, I enjoyed your piece very much.
