Living It Up When I'm Going Down
I turned over command of the
USS Murgatroid to one of the
Mib Khans who was not attending Jellico's wake. I asked him if he would be willing to examine
Pooky and Shiny. "You know, for a Vulcan, you certainly ask some stupid questions," he responded with a leer. "Of course I'd be glad to give them a thorough examination."
Ignoring his jibe and instructing him to monitor my situation in case I required immediate transport back to the Murgatroid, I beamed myself over to Surak's Razor in compliance with that ship's request. I was not expecting hostility - after all, the ship's computer saw itself as my "elevator", not as my enemy.
As soon as I had finished materializing, I saw a strange and unfamiliar symbol on Surak's Razor's main screen. The computer asked me, "Where would you like to go today?" Clearly, the computer had been infiltrated and corrupted by some form of malignant alien software.
