LOVE that. Thanks for sharing it! I particularly like the blotching fading effect at the bottom... it creates an interesting feel/emotion, that adds to the overall piece. It makes it feel ever-so-slightly creepy and dream like, but it also makes it very compelling- much more than if it were flat edges. I really like that. Oh wow, thank you very much. I've been playing with ways to color the stippled images, and flat color doesn't seem very effective what with the delicate dots, so that was a solution. The girl and the wolf were drawn as two separate pieces so I could produce stickers of just the beast if I felt like it down the line, but ended up doing them as a cropped version of the combined image in the end. In the future, if I do storybook specific work, perhaps I'll post again, thanks to your encouraging reply.
That stippling and spottiness is what really makes the piece, in my mind, anyway. :) I would definitely love to see more, as you make it. I hope you do choose to share!
