The prompt: It always feels like a first kiss in her head
"Come here."
Phoebe has never understood how he does that, how he reaches through the hormones and the questions and the fear and makes it all...quiet.
His fingers curl across her open palm, pulling her down into his lap. "It doesn't matter."
That sets her off again, remembering their faces, the accusations, the argument that left her feeling worse than before. "You didn't hear them, Cole. Piper wouldn't even stand up for me. She's totally taking Paige's side."
Hands sliding around to cup the back of her head. She can see the flash of regret in his eyes at the length of her new haircut. She gives herself up to his pull, leaning in to brush her lips gently against his.
The kiss is soft, comforting - an echo of all the first times that have come before. It makes her feel safe.
Cole's voice is a whisper of breath against her skin. "It doesn't matter."
