Damn cats

Some people say cats don't do anything on purpose. All I can say is that I'm glad my new "American Vampires" comic book was in a protective plastic sleeve ( Read more... )

My cat will actually leave the room with linoleum flooring while barfing in order to do it on the carpet.

Same here. My cats always puke on the one and only rug in the downstairs.

I love them, too - most of the time.

Ours have been very demanding and attention seeking the last couple of days and I am about ready to give them away. Want to trade?

Anyone who says cats don't do anything on purpose has never had a cat. Cats do EVERYTHING on purpose. And they are expert markmen when it comes to projecting bodily fluids from any and all orifices.

I have to agree completely, and I don't even like cats that much (read: at all, with the odd exception). One of the farm cats we had when I was little would cleverly position herself outside the living room (they were all outdoors/garage/barn cats), pressed up against the sliding doors where there was a heated panel on the inside early in the morning, when it was still freezing cold, and then pretend to be fast asleep as the other 11 cats tried to shift her for the rest of the day to get the warmest spot. Which also happened to be the one spot nobody would trip over them when exiting the house. If a human walked by with a treat, she'd suddenly be wide awake and ready for noms, but she still wouldn't shift an inch. She did that for at least seven years, probably longer (cat was born way before I was ( ... )

That's one smart cat!

Outdoor cats learn to adapt in amazing ways. I love how they pile on top of each other to keep warm.

She was definitely a clever puss : ) No pesky mice about the place when we had all the cats.

I'm sure my view is coloured by having grown up on a farm, but I think one of the reasons I don't like cats is that I don't like indoors cats with their rubbing against you and generally being in the way rather than being busy catching mice or whatnot and leaving you alone. And most people who have cats have them as indoors pets, some of which come and leave as they please (these cats tend to annoy me less for some reason).

Cats do EVERYTHING on purpose. Except when they fall off something ungracefully. But seriously. Everything else. Whoever says the opposite has never met a cat.

They might not do it for reasons WE can understand. But, yeah, cat reasons!

Huzzah for comic sleeves!!!

Cats are singular creatures. That's the most endearing and annoying quality they have.

Ours are currently chasing toy mice ALL AROUND the downstairs. Scrabbling like little mad things on the hardwood floors.
