I'm sick today, for the first time since giving birth.  I wonder whether the whole breastfeeding has boosted my immune system somehow; nI kept skating on the edge of things, but this is the first time I've fallen through into full-blown illness.  I don't know whether I have what Doug has, or whether I have what one of the hundreds of people on the

Eesh. Sick is icky. Feel better!

I was briefly in the German House last Friday, but only learned from someone else about how he whole place could be turned into a party room!

Had I gotten up thataway by, um, 15 minutes ago I'd be trying to get into some of the places I missed, but I doubt I'll make it before the crowds. Maybe on line. Wish I'd gotten inside UMD...

They'll put it up again on campus after the event; I plan to go see it then. Road trip?

I hope you feel better soon! I do think breastfeeding helps with immunity -- both for you and Joy.

My kids were hardly ever sick until they started to go to preschool. Then they started bringing one cold after another, sometimes a virus, sometimes strep, etc. And of course they shared with the whole family.

Hope you can take it easy and rest some, drink fluids, etc.

Thanks for the good wishes. Two or three days later, and I'm finally starting to feel human again - though I have a deep wheeze that's worrisome enough to send me to the doctor early tomorrow. (I fear bronchitis....)

Glad to hear you're feeling better and I hope the wheezing turns out to be the end of the sickness and not bronchitis. How is Joy? Sounds like she has not gotten it?
