movie madness!

This fall movies abound in goodness. Tim and I signed up for Netflix last night, Harry Potter 4 (my favorite book in the series so far) comes out on film, and there are movies about Johnny Cash (Joaquin Pheonix) and Truman Capote (Phillip Seymour Hoffman!). How cool is that?
Dude, it's a revolution.

Dave, I was thinking yesterday about actors and actresses and how, in this country particularly, it is pretty much a prerequisite to being a successful actor that one must be extraordinarily beautiful. I think this is sad. If you look at some of our best actors like Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti, they had a much harder time making a career of acting, since they're not particularly good looking. I imagine it is even harder for women. This is just one more thing that makes Hollywood the source of predominantly impressive-looking-but-patently-bad films.

I had to check it on google, but I knew that from somewhere. Coen bros references are ALWAYS welcome.
Barton Fink isn't, but Miller's Crossing definitely is in the Netflix Queue, and I either own or have seen most of their other films recently. Queue, by the way, is a RIDICULOUS word. Stinking pompous Brits are their excess letters.
