I just had that happen, in fact. Over spring break. With a melodramatic sci-fi anime that gives way to an allegedly rather sucky sequel. And as much as I might tell myself that it was all about the drama, the large cast, and the popularity, the fact is that I developed an intense craving for the show--which you witnessed--after reading a certain 'ship manifesto concening a certain boy with anger management issues

Heehee! Genetic indeed! How did that work out for you, by the way--the show, the character, the 'ship--before the defective DVD? Or did you not get to see enough to form an opinion?

I read the manifesto for your boy and his friend. I thought it was interesting and sweet, though it wouldn't be enough to hook me. But then, I *still* don't get the whole anime thing. ^_~

I do love the scar, though.

Oh, great, you're now more properly spoiled for that show than I am. *didn't actually read the whole essay, for that reason* Yeah, five episodes isn't much to get an impression. It was at a really interesting part right before the DVD finally ground to a halt. The longer I have to wait, the more I'm getting spoiled
