Late to the Party, Sherlock

So, I'm late to the party.  I just watched the first episode of Sherlock (the one done by Moffatt).  And it is . . .  brilliant.  Wonderfully written, beautiful acted, and intriguing as hell.  I'm hooked.

Off to bed for now.  I'll catch up on the rest of it later.

Why are you ignoring the Hunger Games?

I did the whole Harry Potter and Twilight thing (starting reading the books before they even became popular). The overall plot, from what I've been able to read, doesn't seem very appealing to me. And I'm not sure I have the energy to dive head-first into another book based fandom. It's a lot of heart ache, because the movies will never live up to the books and I'm not sure how well the books are written. It seems very suspect that as soon as the first book was released that critics were claiming it was the next Harry Potter. I just can't deal with all that again. lol. That sounds depreassing.

FWIW, I quite liked the Hunger Games. I didn't really like the main character, but I really liked the stories. But I read like an animal (something like 40 books in January), so I never leave popular things alone very long.

Also FWIW, I thought they did a good job with the movie.
