Persona 3: It is all-consuming

As I wrote last week, I picked up Persona 3.  It's about all I've been doing in my spare time since.  It's too damn fun to put down.  It's also probably the best RPG released so far all year, and given the odd nature of the game and its intelligently mature content, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be the best RPG of the year.  It takes a ( Read more... )

aa~aah, i think i failed my midterms. ;.; but it was so much more fun to hang out in the shrine playground... anyway, i did all right on the japanese culture exam, but the physics one killed me... i was doing so well in class, too. :p

Heh. Well, at least you and Junpei have something in common, then. :P I'm actually about a week before pre-summer finals start, which is a real pain since the next section of Tartarus just opened and I wanted to get a head start.

mm, the midterms snuck up just as i wanted to go up, too! ...but the second-block enemies were really too much for me, so i'm glad we've a fourth now. ♥

I rocked the midterms, for the record. I still can't get past about the 20th floor, though, as the enemies are having the annoying tendency to multi-crit the main character in the space of a turn.

Have you tried switching his Persona? If the equipped Persona is weak against the enemy's attack, that's usually the quickest way to get killed. I learned that the hard way in getting ambushed by fire element creatures while equipped with an ice-based Persona. I got rocked.

No, I refer to those classic 'Critical Hits' that just plan deal out more damage than the norm. It happens with bothersome regularity, and because the AI (which I absolutely love, don't get me wrong) tends towards the vicious, this leads to pain and occasionally death.
