[ Observe: one (1) very pink-haired soldier-girl in a miniskirt, taking advantage of the cooler weather by walking into town with her black-haired shepherd dog alongside her. And as if that's not enough, she's got her gunblade with her too, hanging folded up into its holster behind her, but quite obviously a large weapon of some sort anyway, despite her casual attire and current mission.

Oh, yeah, and the dog is definitely talking to her, looking up with dark, eager eyes as she tears apart what appears to be a leftover slice of pizza. Both woman and dog briefly glance over at the two men, but it's cursory at best. ]

[There were several things this sight did to confuse Jack Aubrey. Pink hair, legs. Visible. Legs. And some kind of weapon on her back.

Oh and a talking dog.

All in all, it broke his brain, so when the young lady and the dog both glanced at he and Hornblower; Jack reacted in the only way he could figure how to with a girl.]

...And Aubrey's stopped again. It takes Horatio a moment to realize that, so he has to double back. When he sees what Aubrey is staring at, he gives a silent nod of understanding.

[ Odd looks, meet an odd look right back in return. Regardless, there's nothing at all awkward in her bearing, like everything about her is totally normal.

Although... that said, she's not stupid, and knows perfectly well that she can seem a bit strange if you're not yet used to her. Her guess as to what's making them double-take, however, has more to do with Baldr and her gunblade rather than rosette hair or the fact that she has skin showing from just below the knee to way, way up the thighs of her long legs. She hooks fingers under the dog's collar casually. ]
