Well. That was certainly some new years party, I hope everyone enjoyed it. Who found the fireworks? They were lovely.
News of nationals is...a disappointment, to say the least. I'd thought the knowledge that I wouldn't have been on the team anyway would lessen the sting somewhat, but it hasn't, really. I suppose - I'd have been there anyway - the whole year, even if I wasn't at practice, I'd have been helping Hiyoshi-kun with things and attending games. It's still frustrating. And not...not even a loss to a proper opponent, really, but (not to demean the pre-regulars, really, after all it's hardly their fault) without proper leaders or the remains of the previous team, what could they do? The gap between pre-regular and regular isn't so insurmountable, but there's a lot to be said for experience.
Mmph. Dwelling won't solve anything, or change the score. Move on, Choutarou, it's over and done with.
Do I want to know why you and Oshitari-sempai looked so smug when I found you at the bonfire? Or was that still just I-have-a-guitar high. Oh, I have some sheet music floating around - I'm sure we can look up how to transcribe it, and it's not all classical, I promise.
